Lake Daylesford

The picturesque Lake Daylesford is located just 15 minutes walk from our Country House. You can hire paddleboats, picnic at various spots around the lake or simply take a walk along the path (45 minute loop walk).
Hanging Rock Reserve

Hanging Rock, located a short drive from Woodend and Mount Macedon, is known to its traditional owners as ‘Ngannelong.’ A culturally significant landmark.
The reserve boasts an abundance of native flora and fauna, including wild kangaroos, and features beautiful nature walks, a Discovery Centre, picnic areas, and free barbecue facilities.

Glenlyon Mineral Spring is located adjacent to the scenic Recreation Reserve. It’s a great spot to picnic while you enjoy sipping on the pure mineral spring. This spring features some of the highest levels of soluble salts in the area and is a rich source of calcium, potassium, magnesium, and sodium.

The Goldfields Track

The Goldfields Track is a point-to-point 210km Track that takes mountain bikers and bushwalkers through some of central Victoria’s most historic towns and beautiful forests. The Gold Fields Track runs right through Daylesford and Hepburn Springs and walking trails are generally well-marked The Daylesford Visitor Information Centre will be able to provide you with a printed map of the area showing the location of the walking trails, mineral springs, and other tourist sites as well.
Jubilee Lake + Springs

Jubilee Lake, originally known as Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir, was constructed in the 1860s to supply water to local mines. Today, it’s a popular recreational spot featuring swimming, fishing, birdwatching, bushwalking, and picnicking. Canoes and paddleboats can be rented. The easy 1.6 km circuit around the lake offers beautiful views and a chance to sample the renowned mineral spring water.

A range of wineries offer intimate cellar door tastings, and wines are often on a small scale. Passing Clouds, Guildford Vineyard & Cellar, and Zig Zag are not to be missed.
